Gluten Free "pebernødder"

 ”Pebbernødder” are classic Danish Christmas cookies. Directly translated the name means “Pepper Nuts”, which is quite fitting. The little ball-like cookies do indeed look like nuts and - surprisingly - they also do contain white pepper! In combination with the other spices – ginger, cinnamon and cloves – this provides the cookie with a characteristic spicy flavor. Absolutely irresistible and very addicting! We decided it would be unfair to exclude people who do not tolerate gluten from this cookie adventure. So, we proudly present this delicious gluten free version, so everybody can enjoy “Pepper Nuts”.

Ingredients
Corn starch , sugar, margarine (canola oil, coconut oil, water, fully hardened canola oil, salt, emulsifier (E417), acidity regulator  (E330), aroma, vitamin A), rice flour, water, rice starch, egg yolks, salt, ginger, cloves, hvid peber, sukkersirup, kanel, hævemidler (E500, E450).

Storage: Dry and not too warm.
